In the top summary image, under the forecast icon, the following text is listed:
overcast - rain; mist
Why is this there, and how can I adjust it?
I’ve been through both web setup screens and summary image screens a dozen times and can’t seem to find it.
Also, in the next image below (wxdial.gif), the numeric boxes for the following are empty: wind direction, heat index, dew point temp.

Hi,
the extra weather details are there because you may have a METAR download active - check in setup > control panel > FTP/internet/metar/email setup > FTP/METAR tab. The METAR data may not be set for an airport near you - hence a totally wrong weather report!! You can turn the function off if you don’t want it.
Now in setup > control panel > summary image/icons there is a section called “icon update by downloaded metar setup” - if you are not using the data from the METAR then you could uncheck all ticked boxes in there - the text will then not shown on the summary image
in wxdial.gif - the boxes are empty as it appears you are using a font colour of white as shown by numerals around the dials. You can change the colour of this in setup > colour setup - look for the weather dials button called “set labels/data colour”.

I checked under FTP/Metar tab - nothing entered there and both switches were off.
I checked the summary image/icons - nothing ticked in the metar box.
As far as the wxdial.gif - I went into colors, and fixed things up. I thought that those inputs were for my desktop display only. I fixed them up so I could see everything. Now I have so many variables I can’t decide how I want them.
Anyway, just to be sure, I cleaned out the file on my server, and uploaded all again from WD. All my color changes are showing (still playing with them) but that text on my summary image is still there.

yes, that message will be coming from a downloaded metar…maybe even an old one? (try deleting any download metars)
if you send me your settings, I will check on things
go action, backup registry now
then email me the file, wdisplayftp.reg, from the folder databackup
also , the large size weather dials:
try, setup, use large screen size, then click on Yes
then restart the program again, and see if that fixes it for the next web update

The screen size adjustment did the trick - but, I don’t really like having the full screen display on my desktop - but I guess I can get used to it.
Removing those files did get rid of the empty space at the bottom of my page.
I emailed you the file requested - time to go to work now - won’t be able to check back for about 9 hours.

Maybe another related problem…
My main weather image on the desktop - when I click on it, it shows a metar image. This image is also showing on my summary image.
I would like this image to be current conditions if possible. I can change the image to be that of the display on my WS-2310. I would like the image to be current weather. Is this possible?
Edit: I think it caught up with itself…
Have to wait until tomorrow to see if the icons are working right. I don’t see the metar image now when I click on the main display image.
