Stumped

I am working with wxspotter offline on this problem. I have confirmed that WD can connect ok to webpages.charter.net. I noticed however that they do not have a CNAME for ftp so I told wxspotter not to use that as the address. They also do not use Unix commands for some syntax, ie. rn doesn’t work, must use rename, and rm doesn’t work, must use delete. So I am unsure if the rename file would work from WD on his server.

Anyways, hope to have him up and running shortly.

hi
i have your settings
you have a trailing space in the ftp host name in the connections setup in WD
remove that space
(click in that box at the end and you will see there is a trailing space)
as i suggested in a post

Thanks to all that has helped me to get my WD on my own website.I still need some advice on how to improve by all. Here is the link I have now…http://webpages.charter.net/wxspotter/.........any further advice is welcome.
Thanks Terry aka …Wx Spotter.

Sounds like it’s working wxspotter. Sorry to have left you hanging, lost power here for a few hours.

you ideally need to add say where you are located…if using custom files/tags, then add that as html code…

Well I found out this morning that my temp isnt the same on the WD page as it is on my weather station.I dont know how to fix it.Remember all of you that have helped,I only know basic pc stuff. So when you tell me something to do you are going to have to take by the hand so to speak.

Ok I have found out now that nothing is updating on the website.I need help again please.

Ok some how I stumbled across the fix and now WD is doing its thing. So to all that helped thanks again :x

WX Spotter if you know what it took to fix, posting it could be helpful for others in the future…

Glad you got things going, again
