I just had to say your camera setup is killer! I like the pan & tilt one. Turned it to a HUGE! close-up of your Christmas window light. Thanks for the peek into your world.

You need to use View/Web Cam Image, then once on that screen, close to the bottom there is another button where you setup your camera. Once entering that screen, your camera-if it is located-will appear in the upper left-hand box. Then set it up from there.

http://www.jlocon.com/wdwebint.html might be helpful to you in setting up your webcam.

thanks losmon1,

nice pictures you made for starters very handy, !

but let me more clear what I mean

Windows stores all drivers in c:\windows\system and others
so I want to know where and for what drivernames WD is looking for
to place that camera in the webcam capture setup page.

I’m looking for my webcamGoplus drivers but dont know wich ones
are using and coupled, names etc. ok ?
I have to refuse them and replace for other
Maybe I take another webcam.

What is your operating system. If XP, then you can go into Control Panel and your camera will be listed IF XP recognized it or drivers have be loaded.
WD get’s its web cam information from the O/S. previously was running W2000 and it would NOT recognize my camera at all, then I upgraded to XP Pro and WD then found the drivers ok. Not sure if that has anything to do with your system.

hi there,

WinME, it does recognize the drivers;
I can see it in Control Panel under camera/scanners.

BUT where are those driver placed
If you click on properties you get open or make shortkey
so I want to know where WD is looking for those drivers and how to recognize them.

Snow there ? here becoming freezing with NE E wind (from Russian/Scandinavia) but always to much sea influance to get snow
Maybe febr 2003 (should be coldest months here)

i dont know…the web cam capture is a component, and it does the work
just make sure no other web cam software hogging the drviers at the same time?

Brian,
Can I get an answer to my original question/observation. I’m not sure how this thread was redirected to web cams in the first place. :?:

by design
it works in sequence
i.e you cant have a 3rd sensor setup/rom id allocated if a 2nd sensor is not setup…and or not detected

sorry hrhughes

it’s because my 3 trap ‘solar, webcam and a message’ topic
(I did because I had the idea Brian was bizzy with tractors etc
therefore I made a general topic of it, meaculpa to me)

Here the solar topic again

My solar sensor reads raw -16C current 2% (that's ok) at mainscreen it keeps on 21% ! (that one above winddirection) seen it before but where to setup/reset ?

and how to get the UV on the graph ? won’t work at mine
[/quote]

i will check why the difference in readings ed
do you have a uv sensor?
the solar reading should show on the extra sensor grpah, yes?

ahum…

don’t know for sure but I have this sensor bild from Werner Kren at

http://www.pc-wetterstation.de/wetter/solarsensor.html

it’s the AS2000 with the fotodiode, it measures light sensivity
is that to translate for uv ?

sorry I’m not well known with this issue, don’t hit
but if not I have to look for it (bizzy now with LD from Jim Jennings it follows after that)

yes I have a second graph

ohh… and here is my graphic on

Hi Brian!

After upgrading I have the same problems with the solar sensor here :? ;

raw data is still ok, (-19,6

It’s reading the wrong sensor
At mine it is sensor 8 (what not exists
but there is value at the datareport)

my client gives the same value so maybe
it’s confused by the server

I have the WMR900H (Brian’s own bleeding station)
but my station display always working good and
the interface is especially for this station…

I had it before, 20 version ago
then it disappears and now…still searching

do you still have the correct sensor # to use still ED?
under setup, ws2000/la crosse setup, solar sensor setup…

h

back working here with my ws2000 and the latest version…
