Solar readings

Hello,
Can somebody help me understand the solar readings please.
In the WD screenshot (doc WD Screenshot 3) It shows 100% 0.344 hrs, in the yellow bar. This reading always goes from 0 to 100%, nothing in between.

In the PWS screenshot (PWS 1) you can see the solar radiation is a fairly steady climb on the graph.

In the PWS screenshot (PWS 2)it shows the UV and Solar Radiation values.
There seems to be no correlation between the data from the weather station and WD.
Thanks,
Mitch.

looks like WD is not picking up the solar wm/2 correct?
can you post a screen shot of the weather station type setup?

try this test program
http://www.weather-display.com/downoadfiles/weatherdisplaytest.zip
then tick under setup, advanced/misc, to log the raw data
and then let me know what shows under view , debug info
and also your at that time correct solar value

I just need to know what the raw data is in WD, like you have posted and at the same time what the actual solar value is
(just post that actual number instead of a screen shot of the stations console screen to make things easier)
at different times during the day
raw data positiion 21 should be the solar value but it might be a lux value

Sorry Brian, you have lost me.

Where is the RAW data? If its the screenshot I sent, it goes past so quickly.

Solar Valeu? you mean the W/m2 in WD? or the 100%, because the 100% never changes.

yes the raw data you have already posted (raw data position 21 number …just take a note of it as it goes past)
and the actual solar data you have already posted that the weather station is reporting (that you tool a screen shot of (web page?)
i.e just need a comparison of those values at the same time

Is this what you need Brian?

WD = 100%
Wm2 = 6169.9
Raw Data 21 = 5733.7998046875
Station Wm2 = 42.00

WD = 100%
Wm2 = 5106.6
Raw Data 21 = 4998.7998046875
Station Wm2 37.9

WD = 100%
Wm2 = 3171.1
Raw Data 21 = 3092.69995231628
Station Wm2 = 21.4

Hi
yes
ok, this is good, there is a relationship
it looks like it must be a lux reading, the raw reading
so use the latest .zip update of WD to fix this

Ok, thanks Brian.
I have copied v10.375112 into the WD folder.
It’s now showing that version in the title bar.

It’s night here now, so will see what happens tomorrow and advise.
Thanks for your help.
Mitch.

Hi Brian,
Thats an improvement.
It went up on the graph with a curve over about an hour this morning, similar to the station graph, but it seems to be holding the 100%, despite the station now heading down on the graph.
The station is here https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/ISUDBU7/table/2020-04-22/2020-04-22/daily and https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/ISUDBU7/graph/2020-04-22/2020-04-22/daily you can see the ‘curve’.
Thanks,
Mitch.

are you sure you have the lat/long set correct in the solar setup, max solar ?

Yep, they seem to be OK.

I do notice in WD the Raw Reading is 1486.7 W/m2, and on the station it is 148.5 W/m2. The decimal is different.

ah, silly me, lock down cabin fever
I was out by 10 in my calculation
use a new .zip update to fix that
