Snow Input Reset

Hello Brian,

I asked you some times ago, to insert a new function in the snow input window.
The season

same snow season here in the US

ok, next version will have that in the input daily weather where you can set the snow season month

That’s good for me also - Thanks !!

How does one set up the snow depth display? Haven’t done that yet in WD.

tnx

speaking of snow ( in September, in Iowa…) anyway. I use a snow stick thing that I bought from Forestry Supplies, inc. But I cover my unit and I know that you didn’t ask but I thought I would put in a plug.

Chann Barnhart who lives in Wisconsin ( and if you can pronounce his towns name, Oconomowoc, I will personally and publically salute you) has a cover for the VP gauge. I had one on the unit last winter and it went on and off with ease and didn’t blow off. http://home.mchsi.com/~vppictures/100_0980.JPG for a look his email is [email protected].

I don’t recall the price as I received on as a prototype.

Yes, I have a snow stick for accumulated depth and a flat table for measuring daily accumulation but my question is…how does one enter snow depth data into WD and be able to display those values on WD/WDL?

Brian probably told me once but I’m only about a 20W bulb and forgot…

<20w:idea:

hi
under input daily weather you can enter the snow amounts there

Here’s an interesting link to a homemade 1-wire sonic snow depth gauge. I found this link last year, but didn’t check out the parts availiblity or price. Looks like being 1-wire it could be incorperated into WD.

Check it out.

Well, guys, I believe this issue of snow depth means a lot to all of you, since the white and cold visitor never let you down… but here where I live, in Portugal, snow season comes every 30 years, only for a few minutes…

Portugal, here I come!

Fairbanks Weather forecast:

.TONIGHT…CLOUDY WITH AREAS OF FOG. SCATTERED RAIN SHOWERS. SNOW SHOWERS MAY MIX WITH THE RAIN AT TIMES. SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS ABOVE 1000 FEET WITH UP TO ONE INCH ACCUMULATION. LOWS 25 TO 30. LIGHT WINDS.

And fall just started two weeks ago.

Cool link to the snow depth guages, MikeyM. I might have to build one of those this winter.

Well, Geewizard, there’s plenty of room here for sun lovers, even if we are a small country… but the snow, here, only falls 200 kilometers away, at Estrela mountain, being not expected yet. And fall, here, I promise, will only start next week…

Cheers
