Replacing current conditions icon

Hi

I would like to replace the current condition icons on my web page with new ones, what steps do I needs to take?

i would think…Just find a new set you like, Re-name them so they match what you have now…and upload them…Thats kind of what i did with the WD icon on the main window.

One way I recall is to double click an icon under the input daily wx menu from the console window…I think it will allow you to replace the icons individually…I never tried it myself. Be sure to replace each icon with the same type, ie. nighttime cloudy or clear day.

I used the input daily method but that only changes the icons on WD summary display, I will try what ALITTLEweird1 posted

simply use the ability to select new icons under input daily weather (double click on the icon to abe able to load your own selectable image)

I have selected the new icons under input daily but that does not replace the current icons I use on my web site

it would help alot if you could supply a URL to what web site etc
also you would need to wait until that particular web data was updated, etc

Tony,
Your homepage is using the ajaxWDwx.js script to display the condition icon. That script provides two sets of icon displays, a .gif set (the small ones) or a .jpg set (the 58x55 ones) using the functions

function ajax_wxIcon ( iconWD ) {
// perform a lookup and return the graphic for the condition icon (using anole's
// wxsticker icon names
  $iconList = new Array(
	"day_clear.gif",           //  0 imagesunny.visible
	"night_clear.gif",         //  1 imageclearnight.visible
	"day_partly_cloudy.gif",   //  2 imagecloudy.visible
	"day_partly_cloudy.gif",   //  3 imagecloudy2.visible
	"night_partly_cloudy.gif", //  4 imagecloudynight.visible
	"day_clear.gif",           //  5 imagedry.visible

The markup for the display is for the small ones (which you’re using) and for the larger ones. If you want to replace them with another set of images, you’ll need to modify the ajaxWDwx.js script to use your new icon names.

Thanks Ken that is the answer I was looking for :slight_smile:

If you want to use the .jpg (large images), you should download the WD/World template distribution .zip (http://saratoga-weather.org/template/install.php ) and extract the ajax-images/. files and upload them … your current ajax-images/ directory seems to be missing the stock .jpg images.

Best regards,
Ken

Yes I have downloaded and now have the jpg images om my site.

Thanks for you prompt reply and help
