Record high rain rate

Hi Brian,
I had a new all time record set today at 16:29 - record high rain rate of 10mm/min.

Problem is that it wasn’t raining at the time. Last rain was 2 hours before that. I wonder why WD reported it as it says on the main screen the maximum rain rate today is only 1.5mm/hr !!

I would like to reset it but cannot see where to do that - there isn’t an option in the setting of all time records?

Tis me again,

there is a gremlin in the cogs still :slight_smile:

I did reset the records for maximum rain rate ok.

5 minutes later (at 7:40 am) the current rain rate on WD main screen suddenly jumped to about 50mm/hr and started counting down slowly - this set the record rain rate back to 2.4mm/min but it has been dry all night.

Something is triggering my version of WD to think there is a monsoon!

running 10.15z now and can still see the rain rate suddenly jump up to 60mm/hr or more and slowly count down.

I have noticed this seems to happen once per hour once the rain rate has gone back down to zero again?!

Is this internal to WD or related to my wx station?

is anyone else seeing this?

no, its not related to the station…(that station type)
i did see that happen to me once…and i have checked the code, but i couldnt see why…i will have another look to see why
is the sunrise/set problem fixed now?

oh you mean the overlapping sunrise/set images? - I haven’t checked since running 10.15z - will let you know.

sunset now - normal icon is peeking out from behind the sunset icon.

I guess the sunrise icon will be mostly hidden by the normal icon in the morning as well.

so the problem still exists with that.
