What about a current storm total like VP console uses. Adds rain until there is 24 hours of no rain and considers this a storm. It also remembers 24 past storms. This could be added to or take the place of yesterdays rain. Food for thought.
is the storm rain under, view, davis vp extra sensor info, working correct?
The way we sometimes get rain we’d have storms lasting many days, even though the rain came in discrete showers maybe only once or twice a day with clear spells in between.
yeah, some places in the USA, any rain is a storm!
On the Isle of Wight, most weather is rain!
So called California storm started on the 16 and is over now on the 20-21. 3.6 inches for the storm per VP console. Under View VP storm it says start date of 4.0 and 1.6 inches so it may not be working the same way Davis does it. I see what you mean, a storm may be continuous in other parts of the world and this would not be very meaningful.
in this country we get some sort of precipitation every other day
(i.e days of rain are around 150)
that is why it is so green
some places in Ireland, hold the world record, i.e 365 days of rain in a year!
