Rain Guage registering - no rain fallen

First off, sorry if this in in the archives; I’ve had computer problems, plus working retail in the holiday season is giving me little time for anything except work (12plus a day) and sleep, so i don’t have time to play with my wondrous system.

my problem is this. I’m registering a rainfall of about .04 inch each night. It isn’t raining, but we are getting a dew and light frost occasionally. Is there a way (okay, I know there is, I just don’t know what it is) to change the sensitivity of the rain gauge to ignore a dew-fall each night? I have WD 10.19 software, feeding from a Lacrosse 2310 unit.

Thanks

tick, ignore first rain of the day

Thanks Windy!

This program - and the support is wonderful. My station in the backyard is a little too sheltered from wind, so, over the next few days I’m going to mount everything on a ‘boom’ extending out from the eve of the house.

I’m sure I’ll be back with more questions; I’m looking at all the sites I can find, there are some very excellent web pages out there; If I knew more about web coding /html, I’d build one now, but I’m learning, and I’ll get there eventually
