On start up this morning WD downloaded the archive OK. Looking at the main graphs I noticed that the gust windspeed was showing a constant flat line at 48.3 mph for some 4 hours and the windspeed a constant 31mph - highly unlikely! 8O
Now I am still running Weatherlink each day to capture all the data. Looking at the WL data it shows that at 02:48 we had a max gust of 48mph corresponding to the start of the flat line on the graph. Other values seemed to be changing OK, just the gustwindspeed and windspeed was stuck and only in WD. WL shows the gust & windspeed changing after 02:48 as you would expect. I looked in misseddata.txt where WD stores the data to be added to mysql and sure enough it shows a constant gust windspeed of 41.7kts which is 48mph and constant ave windspeed of 27kts which is 31mph right up to the end of the archive period.
So something screwy is happeneing when WD gets this max gust but I have no idea what, unless it is something to do with the actual value! According to the data in WL this was the max gust overnight.
Just a thought this was not only the max gust overnight but was also an all time record gust?
Update 16/01/2005
Been doing some more checking on this. The only time I have seen this problem is where WD is processing the archive and picks up an all time record wind gust then the misseddata.txt file contains the correct data in all fields except for the average_windspeed and gust_windspeed fields which stick at the all time record value for every record from that time until it finishes processing the archive data. This also shows up in the graphs for that day where they flat-line for the period from the time of the record until startup time in the morning. As this is the only all time record anything I have seen so far processing the archive I dont know if it is just a problem with wind or whether it will affect any other variables as well!
