Problem with Verizon.net?

Hi All,

I am new to this Forum so please excuse me if this topic has been discussed before.

I am have problems with Verizon website that does not apparently allow this command line in the index.html file, (wdlv3_01.swf?http://mysite.verizon.net/l/wdlconfig.xml). Has anyone been successful in making WDL work with Verizon? if so, what is a possible solution? I have called their tech support but they don’t seem to know what I am talking about. Is that par for the course??? In the mean time I am using my son’s website at EarthlLink and WDL seems to like it over there.

Thanks for any input or solutions in this problem.

yes, others have reported that (just ask Gary (round hill weather)

what is the URL supposed to be?

Hi, I had problems with a webhost that did not allow dynamic content and choked on the “?”, I suspect you may have a similar problem especially if this is a freebie site provided by an ISP, rather than hosting you are paying for. See my thread here http://discourse.weather-watch.com/t/6627

I never got it to work with my verizon website either. I finally went with a hosting wervice (godaddy.com) and got my own domain name too.

Wow, what quick replies. Thanks to all and looks like I may be stuck with my present configuration for the moment.

/l/ <–is that a typo? is not a typo. Just the could be any user.

Guess that Verizon Webserver is just a no frill service that they provide for signing up for their DSL service.

My WDL currently resides at http://home.earthlink.net/~dhyamato/Weather.html if any one cares to take a look at it.

My main web page is located at http://mysite.verizon.net/styamato

Thanks to all who responded.
