I downloaded and installed this latest version all worked well except it does not upload files to my website, however it does update the files in the “webfiles” folder.
I fixed this real easy I reinstalled version 10.10t!

I think you should try it again
no other reports of problems, and it works fine for me…
but note that i have changed the ftpupd.exe program, to fix a bug with the 2nd mesomap, so you need to make sure that any fire wall lets through that new ftpupd.exe program (because its a new version)
so, try it again, and check that
I loaded the last version and note the same problem, nothing since the 5th.
I think I see from the log what my problem, the space allotted is exceeded. so nothing can be uploaded. I will take care of that quickly.
Question, can I upload some of the files to a different url rather than most
for example the wdlive to dsmweather and the rest of the wd files to something else?
Well I am making some progress.
It was not the firewall.
Only one file affected now “nonamedial.gif”
If I force a manual update “action Menu” ALL files update and Upload however if the normal sheduled update/upload occours this one file is not UPDATED or Uploaded, Work is in progress, hair [what there is of it] getting greyer by the minute.
Correction to previous posting.
All files appear to be UPLOADING at sheduled time [FTP log confirms this].
“nonamedial.gif” will only UPDATE if I do a forced update/upload via menu path “Action>Update Internet Now”
I also should mention that this problem was still there when I reinstalled version 10.10t after having installed version 10.13r, I have now reinstalled version 10.13r which appears to be fine except for this one problem.
At this point it appears to be back to you Brian, is there any more information you need ?

ok, got your settings, and i see the problem
you are using the customise internet and file creation:good
but you need to set times to upload the screen shot image (i.e it will be the noname.gif (its called nonam becuase you have not set a name in the web files/web page setup, station file name)…
i.e you have times to create the file, but not to upload the file
All files ARE uploading but “nonamedial.gif” is not UPDATING.
Yes I know I have not set a name but am happy with that.
All was ok until I installed 10.13r.
As a matter of interest what program to you use to view the reg file I sent you?

you need to re read what I posted.
The problem is that you have not set times to upload the screen shot image file in the customised internet and file creation setup.
You have times to update the file, but not to upload the file.
The screen shot image file is your noname.gif file
reading the .reg file:
i just double click it
and i have your settings loaded into WD
easy as that

I have now gone through and setup those times, phew what a job, it is a pity that that page won’t accept cut and paste operations it would make setting up multiple files with the same set of update/upload times a lot easier.
The next scheduled update/upload times is 12:00, I will be at NIWA at that time but will check when I get back.
I will post the results of the changes at that time.

Well I have just checked the 12:00 web update and all files except “nonamedial.gif” have updated, this file does upload though.
I have checked everything I can think of but there does not appear to be anything different to all the other files which are both updateing and uploading ok.
Also When a manual web update is performed via the “Action” menu everything is all ok, wierd eh!
If I cant find the reason soon I will have to pull it from my website and leave a message in its explaining the problem

the action, update internet now, uses a different procedure than the auto from the customise internet and file creation, and so no surpise it works

Great! now the “raindetail.gif” has reverted back to the old type display which does not display properely with XP [ nor does it do so using 98SE with explorer directly with this file and not off the net]
This is the orignal reason I changed to 10.13r, what a mess!

re your upload settings, i have explained in great detail what you were doing wrong and what you needed to do to fix it
its really not that hard
you just have to make sure that you have times to upload a file in the customise internet and file creation setup that you also have times to create that file.

I have e-mailed the reg file to you just now.
You may beleive that you give great detail and as you wrote the software that it is no doubt correct to you, however to us mere mortals out here the brevity of you instructions sometimes leaves us confused.
I remind you of the salient facts.
[1] WD has been working great for me for some time with no problems.
[2] The reason I installed version 10.13r was to take advantage of the mod you made to the “raindetail.gif” file to allow the whole of the image to be displayed on Xp.
[3] The current problems occoured with the File “nonamedetail.gif” since that time.
I have attempted to follow your instructions [ “you just have to make sure that you have times to upload a file in the customise internet and file creation setup that you also have times to create that file.”] This would be fine but on that page there are some files which do not have entries both for creation and upload e.g. “nonamedial.gif” for one,
I am using 8 files from the “Webfiles” folder and only four of these have entries on this page.
And I repeat this latter file was working ok until I installed version 10.13r and I made no other changes at that time.
If the instruction manual was complete and covered ALL aspects of WD I beleive that all ours lives would be easier and you would not feel that we were wasting your time.
