Problem in windows 98

Version 3.04 is not showing on windows 98 after the last windows update, the explorer freezes and after that alert does exit. In windows 2k it’s OK.

I have seen the same problem on an old PC 300mhz running Windows 2000. Faster PC’s with windows 2000 do not have this problem.

Howewher, in my case I have 2 identical machines, the one runs windows 2k server, the other win 98. The problem occurs only on the win 98 machine and after the last windows update from last week. Maybe a MS issue.

Sometimes it runs, sometimes it hangs, sometimes IE explore exites, and sometimes the whole computer is frozen and I must press the power button for 10 seconds, M$ issue…

Can you try with a different browser on that PC?

With Netscape 4.70 I don’t see anything… maybe too old?

yes netscape got up to version 7.02 in the end.

you could try firefox?

Probably doesn’t have the Flash plugin.
