Passive aspiration of a thermo sensor

Edit: Chris, I’m not sure whether I should buy this radiation shield (from ambient weather - http://www.ambientweather.com/77rash.html), or this instrument screen (from the uk weathershop - Weather Station Choices for All Budgets | Weather Shop UK). I don’t really know which one would be more effective when mounted in direct sunlight for part of the day (when the sun is fairly strong), although I would rather have the radiation shield from ambient weather because it would be a lot easier to mount on the fence in my backyard and I don’t have to paint it. What do you guys think about the two different temperature shields? Thanks for all of the help.
