Hi all,
The site’s still up, and I think (hope) that accuracy is better than ever with an increase in height of the wind sensors, and relocation of temp & humidity. I’m also now playing with WDL, and the Weather client viewer is also operational (http://213.107.68.58/html/clientraw.txt).
Streaming video from the homepage is now also working more reliably - and hopefully also accessible to those behind routers & firewalls - this presented a problem for some time, but eventually I came across some different code that seems to have done the trick.
However, I have lost my satellite pictures feed - it used to come from Nottingham Uni, but they’ve dropped their meteosat updates, so I’ve lost mine too #-o Does anyone have any current URLs that either don’t mind being linked to, or downloaded from?
Come & pay me a visit - http://www.oxfordweather.co.uk or http://www.oxford.weather-watch.com.
Regards, Steve.
Sorry to say, Oxford weather is no more, but the archive data are available at http://www.oxfordweather.co.uk. However, the reason it’s no more is that we’ve moved, and whilst I was at it, I upgraded to a Davis VP2 and have now installed Mesomap, as well as all the features that were there before. We’re now 400 miles or so further north, between Edinburgh and Glasgow, in a village called Polmont, on the south eastern outskirts of Falkirk.
The satellite imaging is now back, as are the aviation metars and tafs for all main airports in the world, if you’ve not been for a while, come and take a look at my new site - http://www.polmontweather.co.uk.
