While messing around with the WD software, for some stupid reason, I decided to set a ‘Setup Password’. Well…, It will not accept the password I set to get back into setup after WD starts. Setup is completely greyed out, and it will not take the password I set. Is there anyway to reset this password?

Unfortunately this looks like just a edit for a password set to for exit function. This isn’t a solution for a forgotten ‘Setup’ password’. For some info I haven’t included before I’m running WD 10.13x.

Sorry, finally found the reg. key and got everything back to normal.

the other way is to create a file called setupon.txt. where you have wd installed, and then restart the program
