Well, about the night picture, I meant the night sky, which has a lot of noise…
Those of you with a C140 - have you been able to view any images using MPEG-4? When I access the camera - I view live motion with MJPEG - but I can’t get MPEG-4 to work - I just get the blank screen with x in the corner… I accept the user license and have reduced security in my browser - but just can’t get MPEG-4 to work… Suggestions?
How would I try that?
I got MPEG-4 to work, at least in the setup window/IE7.
When I selected MPEG-4 I got a Panasonic license agreement that I had to accept.
Then I got the same “missing image” thing as you but with a blocked popup which when I unblocked it was to download/install a panasonic activeX .cab.
When I allowed and installed that I got a blank grey image, then I changed the streaming method to HTTP and the image appeared.
Hope this helps, I don’t have the bandwidth there to play with this too much but if there is something else I can do just let me know.
Thanks - I did some digging and was having problems with the active x file - had to enable then disable then enable…got it to work now… Thanks!
Has anyone made or found an outdoor housing that fits this web cam?
Hello,
I purchased the camera in march 2012 and set it up to upload via FTP every
minute to wunderground.
For some unknown reason there is a delay problem that gets bigger
every hour so the picture uploaded is not the “live” one. I set the
camera to restart at 4am but I was not able to get rid of the problem.
I setup to upload once per hour, no success either.
I hope you can help me out with your settings. I woudl like to send you the screenshots of my settings, but there are restrictions wich do not allow it. Please send me a PM with your emailadress and I send you over the screenshots.
Thanks alot!
Here the response of Wunderground:
Hello,
I’ve watched your camera upload images to us, and I can see that the image is indeed far behind the actual time. So it is currently around 7pm local time, but the image we are displaying is from about 1:28PM local time.
However, this is not caused by our system so far as I can tell. I have captured the image directly upon upload, and it is attached to this message. The image you are uploading to us is the image from 1:28PM.
You may want to check your camera for a malfunction, or contact the manufacturer. Let me know if there is anything else we can do.
Thank you,
Aaron Cowdin

Ah, it seems I found a solution, although its not very logical I describe my solution.
Active Time of Trigger: always
Format: JPEG - 640*480
Most important it seems:
Image Buffer frequency: every 1h 15 images (I tried 30 wich was ok aswell)
Transfer: sure FTP
FTP Settings:
Login timing: every time
upload file name: image.jpg
overwrite settings (important aswell!): save as new file with time stamp
passive mode
Hope this helps!
