I have managed to get my 1-Wire AAG weather station working with WD on a direct connection with a “Link” adapter. However, I have a real need for using the HUB as I need multiple humidity, rain and temperature sensors in differing locations. When I connect the weather station to the HUB (via The LINK) wind direction data will not come through. Any suggestions on resolving this problem? Or is my best alternative to install multiple com ports and forget using the HUB?
you don’t need a hub .Just connect your sensor multidrop across the mircolan ( one after the other in series across the GND and Data lines ) you should be able to connect a larger number of sensors without the need for a hub . Use Cat5 cable and RJ11 connectors .
Unfortunately, I do not have the option of doing everything in series as the locations and building design do not allow for this. I essentially have 3 different 1-wire microlans radiating in a star topology. I was under the impression that the HUB would allow me to do this.
Regardless, shouldn’t I be able to get weather-display to at least show me wind-direction through the HUB? It is registering everything except direction at the moment.
Haven’t replied to this for the last few weeks as I have been away.
Interestingly enough, I upgraded WD to 10/19s and the Wind Direction showed up on the first go! However, I then tried to add a humidity sensor just before the AAG station and then the Humidity sensor was recognized, but the Wind Direction dropped out again.
