Here is some background information we are running Apache on Debian Linux.
We started out by modifying our WDISPLAY.INI with the following line:
[New webfiles location]
location= /var/www/weather
Is this correct or are we on the wrong path all together?
We are trying to have the data files avaliable to post on the web with our local machine. We do not want to use the built in ftp.
That worked for me. I’m running SuSE 8.2 on an old box . I got tired of uploading to my ISP all of the time and having failures for any number of reasons. See the post previously regarding webserver questions. A word to the wise, if you are going to open your firewall to the outside, be sure your security updates for apache are current and your firewall is good. My webserver was up only 30 minutes before the script kiddies were trying to hack it.
