I was able to get WDL to work, but when it comes up the date is wrong (but correct in WD) and all of the records are not mine.
What is the address of your web page?
maybe you need to set the location of the clientraw.txt files, etc, in the wdlconfig.xml correctly?
Post the URL and we’ll have a look.
Julian
What makes you think the data is wrong? The station name is ‘Coffe Bluff Weather’ -which comes from WD via the clientraw.txt file - and it’s receiving updates correctly as indicated by the flashing LED in the top left. It’s also loading the config file correctly as your webcam is working - great view by the way!
Julian
I guess you say the date is wrong as it should be mm/dd/yyyy for you and not dd/mm/yyyy?
you need to change this line in the wdlconfig.xml file
dd/mm/yyyy
to the mm/dd/yyyy format and all should be well.
As for your data - I can’t see what is wrong - can you provide an example? if the clientraw files are all uploading to the same directory ok, and you are running the latest version of WD including v 3.3 of the FTP program then all should be well?
cheers
Oh and the temp and wind agree with the static WD html pages too. I didn’t check the other readings.
Julian
also, in IE your WDL is a large size but in Netscape/Firefox it is really small
is the bit of HTML which Mozilla browsers use, so if you change the width and height from 100% to the actual dimensions you specify earlier (i.e WIDTH=“688” HEIGHT=“500”) then a large WDL will appear in Firefox/Netscape etc.
cheers
Wow!!!
Thanks for all the replies.
1st. Typo on my part…should have said “Record Data” is wrong. If you click on the records tab, all of that info…is not from my system. My WD just went on line in September and there is data with dates on it from July and May. That could not have come from my system.
Sorry for the typo…hopefully this is more clear.
The acutally current “live” data is accurate.
Thanks
Scott
I think it is because the date format is in dd/mm/yyyy
To my United Kingdom eyes the records for this month are all December dated i.e 05/12/2004 is actually December 5th and not May 12th.
And the Yearly and all time records have dates ranging from September onwards.
if you change the date format in the config file as I mentioned all this will be ok for you then.
cheers
the all time records come from weather display, and is stored in the settings file, wdisplay.ini
in c:\windows or c:\winnt
what does the all time records look like under view, all time records?
Well now that I am at home and can read all of the replies…you guys nailed it. The month format is what was throwing me off. I will go into the XML file and change to MM/DD/YY.
Thanks for the help.
Very nice to know this product is so well supported by development and users.
Thanks Again.
