For the last three days I have noticed that about 6 hours after I turn on the software I start receiving the following error in the program error log:
Cannot create file C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Webpage\weather\webcamimage.gif
Cannot create file C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Webpage\weather\webcamimage.gif
Cannot create file C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Webpage\weather\dailywebcam.gif
Cannot create file C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Webpage\weather\weather.gif
Cannot create file C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Webpage\weather\weatherdial.gif

Since the web page updates every 5 minutes, the last line will repeat.
When this error occurs the html page stopps getting new data and the old data stays there.
If I stop and restart the Weather Display program the software begins to update the html page again.
Should I look at the computer when it is having this error, the screen looks ok. The only way I know there is an issue is by checking the web site and seeing that the html has not updated or I check the program error log and see these errors.
Usually I’m not around the computer when it stops working.
Any ideas what may be causing this?

Which version of WD are you using and which version of windows as i have been getting this since version 12m on 12q at moment.
Try wd crashes, 12q problems and blank web page posts in bug reports
Harold,
I am using windows XP pro and I host my own web page. When the error occurred I was using WD version 12q. Today I downloaded and installed WD version 12r. As of now I have not seen the error today. It’s been up approximately 10 hours and has not stopped yet. It may be fixed.

I believe the original error was caused by the fact that I host my own webpage with IIS and the directory I put the files in was at 50 mb. I do the webcam thing and it creates a gif every minute, the directory get relatively close to 50 mb. 5 days ago I deleted some old files in the directory and got the size down to 44 mb. Since then it has not shown the error. For the life of me I can not find where there might be a limitation on the directory size. I do not use disk quotas. Does anyone have any ideas?

Are you using win xp server or just win xp (for acutal hosting.....)?
Vergil83,
I’m using Windows XP Professional and IIS 5.1 on a laptop. IIS 5.1 is thew version of IIS that’s comes with Windows XP Professional. This is the same machine that the Weather display software is running on.
