Thanks for the praise but i think the credits should go to Pinto and his PHP scripts that i found in this thread http://discourse.weather-watch.com/t/16183 and just modified a bit to suit my needs. I must say it works very well, i’m very happy with it. 
I’ll look into the background thing on the live page, didn’t catch it as i’ve only checked it from my mac. I’m away from home right now but i’ll look into it when i get home. The background is set to #FFFFFF so i’ve no idea why it displays it in blue…perhaps something with the stylesheets…
