What the heck is the modem change number?

hi tarma welcome to the Weather display family :smiley:

The modem change number has to do, I think :lol: , irq of the modem. Check under view, ftp log error, if you did see anything that says modem change number #1, #2, etc… then there is not problem. It fixes something if there is a problem. :smiley:

Hmmm…could be. Makes more sense than what I came up with. :slight_smile: Unfortunately the weather station is up at the “cabin” and I’m stuck in town on call or I’d call it grab the log file. Oh well. Got to find a way to uplodad everything to the web site. :slight_smile:

the modem change number, won’t neccessarly not alllow it to upload, WD will automatially change the modem number until it gets to the correct number. If not set on the correct number ,however, it can cause slow upload times.

its the point at which, for a dial up modem , that the messages back and forth from the modem, with windows dial up networking, that the actual internet connection is connected and the FTP can go ahead.
The default is 13, but some modems have a less number sequence of connection commands needed…so if it gets connected, but the ftp does not start auto, and clicking on skip agenda gets it cranking, then lower the modem change status until it fires away auto.
