Hi Brian, (or anyone who knows)
The metar download suggests *.txt file extension, however my files have a *.met extension…is there anyway I can actually save these with the txt extension rather than met ??
regards
Trev

The .txt file comes from NOAA.
You may open the *.met file with wordpad.
You may also set windows to open the *.met files with wordpad
See Start, Help, associating files, changing program associations, change the program that opens a file.
I have my *.met files set to open with
“C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe” “%1”
BTW Notepad does not give the proper foremating when viewing a *.met file.
Good Luck
hi
i did that on purpose, so that in the metar download viewer, i set the file to find to a .met file…
i.e its so it doesnt also show .txt files
but since you can dwonload to a directory of your choice, that was no longer needed, so i will get wd to also produce a .txt file as well too (as an option)
