I have not tested the result after switching off hamweather.

I noted that the Current Sky Conditions was showing “—” today and when I went to view my Metar data it was a 302 redirect html file. I was using Hamweather. I unchecked “use Hamweather.net” and started getting valid metar data once again…

The contents of the data from Hamweather was something along the lines of This file has moved… The New URL is http:://66.xxx.xx.xxx (can’t remember the URL but it was an IP address…

I have switched back to Hamweather again, just now but so far haven’t received the 302 redirect file. If I do I will copy it in it’s entirety…

i have even seen a dew point with lots of trailing digits after the decimal place…
the speed of the noaa server has actualy got better over the years,…me thinks

I’ve had dubious results with Metars using the hamweather option.

Finally was able to recreate the error download…

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">

<p>The document has moved <a href="http://66.180.163.64/weather/current/KJAX.html">here</a>.</p>

<address>Apache/2.0.48 (Unix) DAV/2 mod_fastcgi/2.4.2 PHP/4.3.4 Server at www.hamweather.net Port 80</address>
</body></html>

Definitely having problems, have switched that off for now…

Well it appears that HamWeather is having issues once again as my Metar downloads again contain the html 403 content posted above…

Just a heads up,

-Bob

The FTP stopped to my website yesterday and I discovered the same thing you did…I just turned it off and all is good. Maybe they will get their end going again…
