MB died! DATA file question

MB on WD computer died. (Program froze. Tried restarting computer. No beep at startup! No nothing. New CMOS battery and reset of CMOS didn’t bring it to life with all unnecesary cards removed)

Had a backup of program and files as of a couple weeks ago.

Reinstalled on another computer without problems. Followed the online Help.

However, my data files are a few weeks old.

I think the HD on the old machine is OK and I can install it as a secondary HD.

What few files must I copy to retrieve the most recent data?

By the way, in version 10.15f which I am using the “set rain totals upon startup” option was not remembered in this process.

data:
all the files from the datafiles folder…and the same for the logfiles folder…
copy those across

the other data is in the file wdisplay.ini from c:\windows or c:\winnt

rain:do you mean the dallas 1 wire option?
i might have fixed that already in the latest versin…not sure

Thanks quick reply.

wdisplay.ini was backed as was the reg file. They came back OK from the backup.

Yes, I was referring to the Dallas one-wire rain gauge.

The old HD is good so a direct copy of the directories is possible.

One thing that has not happened. WD does not autostart, even though the option is checked (WIN98).
