I experience a lot of crashes during the nighttime.
Everytime when i check WD in the morning it’s crashed with this error :
The only programs running beside weather display are :
Apache
Mysql server
Any idea’s ?

sounds like an array going out of range
must be to do with data in the clientraw.txt file
i.e, after it has crashed, email me that file, before you restart wd again (from the webfiles folder)
i will also review the code to see if i can spot why)
will be interesting to see if any other reports
also, i will set it updating here myself
actualy, i have a problem at the moment with the mysql updates:
its goes OK until I go to view WD, then it crashes
weird
some memory conflict
others?
I will write a separate .exe program for the msql update…that will be better me thinks
10.15y has option to only update at different rates, the mysql database
This was exactly what i had.
App running perfectly untill onclick event fired and klaboom…
Using version .W now and still problems…

10.15z beta is OK
as the mysql updates are being done via a separate program, wdmysql.exe
as i could not fingure out why that was happening…some memory conflict…so the best thing was to have it as a separate program
so i recommend 10.15z beta
been working just dandy for me all night long

i see your data stopped at 6:07 am?
do you have set to set vp time (i.e ticked do daily) in the data logger setup?
try unticking that
as that has caused problems…but its ok for me…

Hmm i will try that option with the datalogger.
But when i restart WD after the crash wd doesn’t use my data from the datalogger but shows a gap from six till now…

the data extract should be working…is does for me…
is the time on the console the same as the pc (and the date?)
did the exctract dialog come up and show a status bar?
was the file vptemplog.txt updated?
Ok so the temp time and date are the same.
Temp file did get an update (file date en time changed at restart).

The datalogger windows shows on startup but uses current time as if it was the last time it did an update. My screen looks like this :
As you can see a gap of 4 hours… Whe the crash happens before midnight it doesnt do the daily reset.

the data has only every 30 minute logging interval
that is the problem
idealy you need to set the data logger to every 1 minute logging interval
or if not, then set the data pad out to match the data logging interval of the data logger (i.e maybe the data logger logging interval was set to 30 minutes and you didnt realise (maybe by wlink?))

I’m using version 10.16 and getting the same exception thrown as above. I don’t see a clientraw.txt file in my webfiles.
Every morning when I wake up the program crashed between 3 and 5 am. I restart the program and it works properly all day.

you can tell the time of the crash by checking the logfile, 82004lg.txt
and the last entry there…let me know the exact time, as that will help…
maybe email me your settings:
wdsiplay.ini from c:\windows or c:\winnt and wdisplayftp.reg from the folder databackup, after going action, back up register entry now

i see you are getting crashes still:
my I suggest:
install WD to a new directory
then create a file there called 2wd.txt
(i.e save a file with notepad.exe so its called 2wd)
then start wd there
it will then start up like brand new
and then copy the datafiles over and logfiles
then configure what you need to get going again
and then see how it goes (there might be some settings you have on that are not working too good
i notice you had a stop in your data at 9am local…thats when the all day animated web cam is created.
i see its still updating for you jeroenm and its 5:30 am your time, so it has survived the night

i see it stopped at 6:06am
thats when wd sets the time on the VP console to the PC time
so, untick to do that daily, in the datalogger setup (see under control panel, data logger )
this does not cause any problems for me…with my davis VP…i wonder if its some european time/date issue…
