Looking for testers for the new Mac version :)

@mswatanabe
it looks like WD is not converting to the correct UTC time
(the test worked here with Stuarts meteohub because it just so happened that it was setting to the correct UTC hour (less 12 hours))
I will add in some more debug code

@bdtripps
the problem at noon most likely would have been the FWI update
try deleting the fwi.inf and fwinew.inf data files from the datafiles folder maybe (when WD is not running)

Brian, Deleted fwi.ini and fwinew.ini. and restarted MacB224. WD still crash twice before starting. But is up and running it is almost noon here I will let you know on the data logging. Program Event Log was empty

I have now found out again how to use the apple crash report (I used to have that working) to be able to find where that crash info occured in the code
which will help alot
(I need to make some changes to the compiler , so will be for the next update of WD)

Brian, WD MacB224 Stop logging Data again @ Noon. First restart WD hung no data at all. Second WD started no logging of data. Third startup of WD logger data again. see screen shoots.

was there any error under view, program event log, at noon?
try running from a terminal window too and see if an error shows up at noon
(try testing again by setting your pc clock back?)
I have not been able to duplicate the noon problem here so likely to be something about your setup or settings or data etc (and FWI settings , eg uploading that info to web page, etc)

@mswatanabe
try a new update
which shows debug info about the UTC time under view , program event log

Brian Run WD MacB224 from Terminal Three times WD started and crash each time. Each one each of the log had this in common at the end. Also see screen shot of data logger Extraction the time and date
Also when Also before I start changing the clock and testing I want to check logfile 62015lg.txt it was gone.

Exception AxisException in module weatherdisplay at 0089790D.

Runtime error 0 at 0003880F

I will email you entire log.

Hi Brian,

You mean WD must see the date and time without the /s and :s? Do I fix that in the Meteobridge setting or do you fix the WD? I’m not sure at this point if I can change anything, however.

Aloha,

Mark

Brian One other thing I could not get WD Mac224 to run from terminal command it would start than crash. I just started wd by clicking on the icon and it start right up and retrieved the last 20min of data and is running. #-o

Thanks
BTrip

that error about the max axis I am sure I have fixed in the latest update…make sure you have that

@ mswatanabe
post a screen shot of the sun moon rise/set up in WD
also what shows under view, program event log, in the latest update

Hi Brian,

Here they are.

Aloha,

Mark

I ran build 223 from terminal and saw this error message when WD quit:

Exception EAccessViolation in module weatherdisplay at 0003880F.
Access violation at address 9008EA95, accessing address 01572000.
Runtime error 0 at 0003880F
logout

[Process completed]

There is also this message that is repeated about 4 times per second:

2015-06-18 20:02:59.923 weatherdisplay[53408:507] CoreText performance note: Client called CTFontCreateWithName() using name “Times New Roman” and got font with PostScript name “TimesNewRomanPSMT”. For best performance, only use PostScript names when calling this API

I have not tried build 224 yet as there are reported issues so I’ll wait before trying that
Thanks,
Paul

Add:: I checked the times of file uploads using the Internet File Creation Uploads and the one file that is close to the time stamp of when WD quit is File #11 Cur. 24/48/72 hr graphs. I have that file being created at :03 past the hour and uploaded at :04 past the hour

This happened again the next hour at the same time so it appears to possibly be the File 11 creation/upload causing the access violation. Tomorrow I will turn off that file and try again. Back to B 24 for the night.

Hi Brian, I downloaded WD Mac224 again and reinstall, No crashes on startup  Have screen shoot of event log and will post Debug info & FTP log. Run from terminal will post.

@mfd38

I have not tried build 224 yet as there are reported issues

they have not been to do with your weather station type though

There is also this message that is repeated about 4 times per second:

2015-06-18 20:02:59.923 weatherdisplay[53408:507] CoreText performance note: Client called CTFontCreateWithName() using name “Times New Roman” and got font with PostScript name “TimesNewRomanPSMT”. For best performance, only use PostScript names when calling this API

I suspect that is with the older version of OSX
I am not getting that here with a more recent version of OSX and others are not reporting that
but it is related to windows fonts being used

I am not able to duplicate a problem here with file #11 creation , so must be something in your settings

Hi Brian,

Build 226 disk image won’t open. Error window attached.

Aloha,

Mark

ops
try again now

Hi Brian,

Build 226, something’s still wrong. See attached.

Aloha,

Mark

does that UTC time conversion look correct?
also what do you set as the meteohub IP address in the com port setup?

I am trying to reset the Solar blocked color but cannot do so.

I go to Control Panel > Color / Font Setup > Graphs Colour/Font

I click on the button for Solar Blocked Color which is currently set to Aliceblue. I use the arrow keys to scroll to Yellow. I then reclick the button to set. Click OK but the color does not reset.

Also, I have moved all my data over from WD Windows. How do I reset the all time and monthly records?

UPDATE: The Control Panel > Data Logger > Set the Time/Date to Get The Data From does not work.

Hugh

Hi Brian WD MacB224 ran over night and all is good. All webpage history data uploaded to website. Downloading WD Mac226 will install when download is complete.
