Hello All,
This is my first post and I am at wits end. My Lacrosse WS2010 and Weather Dispaly V10.18 have been working great until a couple of days ago. Now here is what is happening.
When starting Weather Display it starts very, very slow.
Once it’s going it only updates every 10 to 15 minutes.
The data quality is always RED.
I have tried everything that I know how to do. I may have ticked something that I shouldn’t have by mistake but I don’t think so. Any help or suggestions would certainly much appreciated.
Thanks,George
hi
email me your settings, i will test here with mny ws2010 data logger
i.e go action, back up registry entry now
then email me the files wdisplay.ini and wdisplayftp.reg
Thanks very much for the quick response to my request. This forum is awesome. I did the “BACK UP REGISTRY ENTRY” as you stated to do. I don’t quite understand the rest. In my “WDISPLAY” file the are many other files but I seen none called “DWISPLAY.INI” or “WDISPLAY.FTP.REG”. Can you explain further. Sorry to be difficult. Thanks, George
hi
after doing that action, back up registry entry
then there will be 2 files, wdisplay.ini and wdisplayftp.reg, in the folder databackup, which is a sub folder of where you have WD installed
email me those 2 files…
I looked in every folder and sub-folder and can not fine a folder “WDISPLAY.INI”. Now that I have folders and there sub-folders straight in my head I realize that I have messed up a lot of folders. What if i uninstall “WEATHER DISPLAY” and reinstall it again? Is this something that can be done without paying and registering all over. If I have to I certainl will. Thanks, George
hi
its gaurenteed that you have a file called wdisplay.ini
but note that with the find files or folders in windows, it starts looking in the folder sepecified and the sub folders below that
so you need to set it to start looking in c:\ (i.e the hard drive start directory/root directory (sometimes just cvalled c: Hard drive, or similar)
i have never seen it where you cant attach a certain time of email
so, what i suggest is you zip those files, wdisplay.ini and wdisplayftp.reg , first
what does it say across the top of the weather display program?
maybe its downloading the data from the data logger?
look under view, ws2010-13 data information and setuo
and see if its getting data there (i.,e lots of data is whizzing past)
this can takc a while for 2 days of stored data
( i should be able to speed this up)
WS2010-13/WS2500 data logger
Receiving data @ 3 min interval as programmed
Block Nr increases 1 each time until log is cleared
CRC error check is always 0
Block age is always 0
Note: Accross the top of the data logger is says: WS2000/WMR-900H/LaCrosse data report
Program error log
Cannot create file/\mesomap.gif
Cannot create file/\mesomap5.gif
Cannot create file /\mesoanimate.gif
ERROR: I/O error 53 at time/date 10:04:53 AM 10/20/04
Note: When WDISPLAY working great my computer was making a continual clicking (receiving date) noise. Now I only hear this once in awhile.
humm
also, check you have set the outdoor sensor number to use as humidity is correct
the other thing to try is to power down and reset the data logger
take out the batteries
put back in
then wait 15 minutes before using wd
Now have the CURRENT CONDITION DISPLAY running. Most of the values are OK.
Barometer value is not correct and I have tried the offset but it doesn’t change.
Maximum temp. is not coeect.
Graphs are not correct and they have spikes.
Data quality led stays RED
still not happy then
can you post here what appear under view, ws2010/ws2500 data report
(use copy/paste)
and make sure you have selected the outdoor temperature sensor number to use on that setup page (i.e 1)
