i am having problems importing weatherlink .wlk files.
the import process seems to work fine, but when i check the WD log files i get wrong data lines like below (first 4 lines are incorrect):
something i just found out checking more log file errors.
it seems like it mostly happens at time 00:16, although the number of error lines varies. (below is just 3 error lines, sometimes more than 50 with wrong date)
so i guess the weatherlink import function is just crap…
pitty, weatherdisplays seems very nice software, but if i can’t import data, i wasted some bucks on it.
Have had the same problem here for several years ALTHOUGH Brian has worked on the Davis .wlk Import function and it is improved over what it was in the past but still has a problem in the program. To correct your bad information you will have to manually go in the Log File in Weather Display and find the Log File where the bad data is located (ie. 122010lg) and find the bad data and delete it and save the corrected Log File. Then go to Action>Convert Log File to Data File. Find the Log File that you have just corrected (ie. 122010lg) and hit the convert button and your data should be corrected (minus the deleted errors) which in most cases shouldn’t be a significant change to your overall data for the day.
It can be very time consuming if you are having to import several years but once you have corrected the errors your Data should be fine UNLESS you have to import the same month once again.
Brian is aware of the problem and as I said has worked on the issue several times. Hope this helps out.
Hi,
any update on this thread - I’m getting the same problem for both hi (45) & low(-32) temperatures & max (66kts) windspeed when weatherlink shows none of these.
