I just can't sync up the WD icons with WDL! Help!

I have been trying every possible combination of check boxes to get things to work. Here is my problem.
I want to have my weather conditions & icon updated by the METAR unless there is rain at my station, and this seems to work OK. The problem is that when the METAR shows rain, my WD icon changes to the local conditions described in the “Rain threshold” area of WD…but the WDL icon changes to the rain icon!
I have “sync icons”, “use current weather from a METAR” and “Your stations rain overrides METAR” all checked.

This part of the WD / WDL software has me in such a confused state that I am ready to just take the conditions/icon off of my WDL page. :frowning:

I can’t speak for the settings in WD but as far as WDL is concerned the icons work from the sync icons in WD and from keywords in the current conditions text. However there are only a limited number of icons in WDL - not as many as in WD.
