I finally added automatic daily zip backup!

I found out how to do it…vers 9.85c
it creates a back up file in a new databckup folder, daily (just before midnight) of the main data and logfiles data
you can also use the zip feature manualy (see under setup, backup your data)
this has been a request from a long time ago!

note, its a date stamped zip file too (i.e the month number) :slight_smile:

I see the new option under setup, is there something I need to do to use it? I highlight it and the menu closes and goes back to the main screen. Is it automatically doing the backup every night… should there be a checkmark by it or something? I don’t see any options, so I am not sure I turned it on…

Is it possible to change the repertory to backup it on another Hard Drive??
It is the way I make my backup… it is much safer than to do it on the main HD, because if it crash… you loose everithing…

its automatic at this stage…no setting up needed
i will add the options needed soon

9.85d is ready
you can use it manulay now, and you can change the directory, and tick to upload to the web site too

9.85c didn’t do an auto backup last night here. Just installed 9.85d and we will see in an hour or so what happens. I just clicked the Setup,backup menu item and then clicked ‘backup now’. Got repeated errors “unable to find c\winntwdisplay.ini”. Looks like you are missing a "" there.

Just past midnight here and no zip file produced. Only entry in the backup file is the result of my earlier test. Again this is with 9.85d.
