I have had it with “english” units. I needed a metric ruler for a physics exam, i check my like $15 dollar engineering ruler I have. It has 1/2,1/4, 1/8, 3/4, 3/8, 3/16, 3/32 " scale but no CENTIMETERS!!!:x :x :x :x :x :x :x
I should have done this a long time ago, but I am chaning my WD settings to metric. We can’t go on living like this!!!
I mean, why does anyone need a measurement called a “wine gallon” or a gill???
Buford, the lad from lancashire :werecomingforyou:
and alot of metric just means shifting a decimal place too, easy as pie
I never realized that you can't set the program settings different from the internet settings on WD ............ very cool
yup, the US navy wanted that…as they have WD running in places in the world that are metric (i.e every where but the USA), but via the internet , they wanted to view it “usa” units
and using custom tags, you can have both units on the same page, or have a page with all metric, and another with all usa units
I can seem to get the revelation of what Units/other settings beneath the Control Panel is suppose to do.
If I had mb ticked instead of inches under Program Settings, I can see what that does. But if you have inches selected instead of mb under Internet Settings, isn’t that what’s suppose to show up on your internet page?
Now I know “Toto” was just a dumb little pup when he got caught up in that tornado with Dorothy, but here’s the real deal - The Kansas state motto is Ad Astra Per Aspera, Latin words meaning “To the Stars Through Difficulties.”
Yes, Dorothy could have ended up at the Neverland Ranch and who knows what might have happened to Toto ( other than having a brand of toilet named for, after, or who knows what reason).
However… Metric is the way to go, but in this country when kids can’t tell me how many quarts in a gallon, now if metric how hard could that be. Gee Bobby… How many mL in a liter? gee a no brainer. BUT considering GWB, …
