Humidity Calibration

The humidity sensor on my Peet U2000 is not linear. Currenty my station is reporting 44% and the Weather Service is reporting 20%.In the “changing Offsets” window there are several several values to select in addition to the offset, to select from. What do they do? Using the Offset selection only makes a correction for about + or - 10%…if the humidity goes to say,80% then I’ll need to reset the offset to have WD to report accurate humidity values.

Hi Roy,

Welcome to the Weather Display family.

Have you considered using a Sling Psychrometer to compare temperature and humidity readings with your Peet U2000 readings? That would give you in idea of what error the Peet U2000 has if any. You may find you do not have a significant measurable error in the humidity readings.
A difference of a few tenths of a degree between wet and dry bulb values can make a large deviation in humidity values.
Unless my humidity sensor is adjacent to the Weather Service sensor I would not be concerned with a variation in the humidity readings.

I am about one mile from a National Weather Service remote weather station (KGDJ) so there should not be that much difference. Currently my Peet U2000 is showing 49% and the Weather Service is showing 25%.

i have added a new option, where the offset gets progessively larger, in the latest beta verison
try ticking that new offset, and then see how it goes…you may have to tweak the slope adjust
this is a new thing , and still testing
