My old pc for WD is too slow so I have bought a new.
How do I move the license to the new.

How do i install onto another PC?.
Copy the data files, log files, and web files folders across, then also wdisplay.ini from c:\winnt or c:\windows and export/import wdisplayftp.ini from the registry:by action, back up registry entry, and then copy and run the file, wdisplayftp.reg, on the new PC, and send me the new code shown in the “Register” on the new PC
Holy Cow is there an easier way to do this? I just got a new computer also and need to move everything over. Copying the folder is easy but going into the registry is another story… Any help or suggestions for this?
try:

on the old version
then copy the file wdisplay.ini from the sun folder databackup on the old pc to the c:\windows or c:\winnt directory on the new pc
then also copy the wdisplayftp.reg file from that databackup folder on the old pc to anywhere on the new pc, and then double click that file to load the settings into the registry
(but the format assumes a standard registry entry…it might be different on the other pc, but that can be got around (you will know if it does not work becuase the internet settings will not have loade).
OK I moved all the files (copied) to the new computer from the c:/wdiplay folder…and did the wdisplay.ini file and also the back up of the reg… file… I went to start wdisplay in the new computer and it has all the old data but was coming up with the errors

I went to check this the program on the old computer and I am now getting the same errors and the weather display is blank (no graph display no temperature readings etc…
Please help…I don’t want the systmen down for to long… I did not think anything would get screwed up on the original program since I did not delete anything.
go to c:\winnt or c:\windows and find the wdisplay.ini file
right click on it and select “properties” - make sure the “read only” box is not ticked down the bottom - sometimes moving files from one PC to another (especially if you use CD to copy the files) results in files becoming read only.

At least now it works fine on the origional computer… Now tomorrow I will try to make sure it works in the new computer when I switch over the PC Interface device…
Then i need to reregister the program.
