Help needed :o

Right click on the graph section in WD, and you get a large pop up menu.
In this pop up, one can choose “Setup colours”.

You then get a new window called “Colour / Font Setup”.
It is here that I click (in the tab “Graph Colour/Font”) on the button with the text “Web graph title caption”.
Here one can enter a name that will (so I presume) be shown at the top of files like “curr24hourgraph.jpg”.

Here’s the problem: WD does not seem to want to remember the name I give in “Web graph title caption”.
I can enter a name alright, click OK, click on “Web graph title caption” again… Blank…

Anyone? :?

Try this

Thanks for the tip.
I’ll have a go at it as soon as it is clear the “Web graph title caption” option in WD really doesn’t work.

Windy maybe?
Maybe you can tell me why I cannot get the standard WD feature to work?

Helloooooooooo? Anyone? 8O

Have I asked for something so strange?

ANYONE!?!?!?!? HELP!? :o

Help…

Anyone?

somehow I missed this thread
use a new .zip update, ready now

Thanks

Downloaded/installed the latest version… But erm… The problem persists?

WD does not seem to want to remember the name I give in "Web graph title caption". I can enter a name alright, click OK, click on "Web graph title caption" again... Blank...
Isn't the name supposed to stay there?

stay where exactly?
what you enter should show up on the web graph (12 hour graph (only that graph))

I click on the button with the text “Web graph title caption”.
I enter a name, and click OK.

I then want to check whether or not I typed the correct name, so again I click on the button with the text “Web graph title caption”…
I assumed the name I just entered there, would still be there, but it is not? The text field is blank?

the first problem was that what you entered was not being used for the title on the web graph (12 hour graph)
I have fixed that, in that latest .zip update
and that works, I have tested
and so you can check what you have entered by updating that web graph and seeing the new title

but the next update of WD will have it shown what you had entered before

also note that there is an easier way to get that colour setup screen

control panel
colours

Thanks for the latest ZIP-update. Should be working now…
Also thanks for being able to check what was typed earlier, with the next update.

I just never realised this is ONLY for the 12 hour graph.

The reason I started this thread is because I was assuming this would work for all graphs, since the name on the button isn’t “12 hour web graph title caption”

It’s the 24 and 72 graphs that I use on my site, contrary to the 12 hour graph.
Any particular reason why it’s just the 12 hour graph? Any chance it’ll be a “graph wide” option in the future?

Thanks!

but then you would have a static name, not changing, even though each graph is a different time length
i dont think that would be very good

The name would be the name of my website, so that even when one has linked directly to my image, or “borrowed” my image, one would always see the name of the website it originated from.

That said, I am curious to know the original reason for this feature, because it would seem I am trying to use a feature in WD for something it wasn’t created for

its an old feature
from when there was only a 12 hour web graph

you can use html to put a heading above the graph image on your web site I would have thought?

What I was searching for is an option within WD that “embeds” a word (or words) within the graph images.
Pinto suggested something (post 2 of this thread) that seems to be able to do just that, but I thought the “Web graph title caption” could do the very same, all within WD.

it can, now, with that update
for the 12 hour web graph
