Greetings…I am currently running WD in stationless mode to try some web functions and other stuff. I have set up everything according to the help page to use the METAR data to update the weather info and for some reason the program will not automatically download and update the data. The only way I can get it to update is to hit the test button on the ftp/Metar setup page. The test runs fine and updates the Metar file, but the automated process at the timed intervals does not function. Any help with this would be great.
I checked the times for the Metar/FTP downloads and it appears I have times set for both. How do I set it up the proper way to automatically download the METAR data every ten minutes??? Any help would be much appreciated.
if you dont want a ftp download, then remove those times
have you checked that the main internet switch is on also?
and, also, try setting as a stationless mode
I followed the online help very carefully. The program is not automatically updating via the ftp or the HTTP. The internet switch is on and it is set in stationless mode. Any other ideas?

email me your settings files:
wdisplay.ini from c:\windows or c:\winnt and wdisplayftp.reg from the folder databackup, after going action, back up registry entry

you need to turn the switch ON to the right of the metar setup in the ftp download/metar setup
and in the connections setup, you need to tick, use weather display’s own ftpupd.exe
or at least tick, still use for all other
