Getting WAP to work on a local network

All, I have WD installed on a system on my local newtork with broadband which is also my web server.

I have everything working fine but WAP. when I try to bring up the URL I get the message from the browser saying it is a “File Format Unknown”.

I understand there needs to be a WAP directory and I have that created.

Reading messages from the form I understand cgi fines need to be in the wap folder for this to work. I have searched wdislpay folder and can’t find any to copy into the folder.

Can someone help me find these or get this setup?

Thanks in advance,

John

hi
you will need to contact your web master to see about the cgi scripts
they are not provided with wd

Brian,
Just so I understand thing correctly.

If I have WD running on my local network. The same PC is setup as a web server so the WD files are not getting sent via FTP to any web server, just copied to a folder.

So, I guess I am the “web master”. Does this mean I can not get the WAP working since I don’t have the CGI files needced?

If this is the case, can I setup WD to have the standard web pages being generated and also a custom one to act like wap?

John

I don’t quite know if we’re talking about the same thing, but when I set up my wap page, my phone browser would give that error message until I set both the nokia and usa format options on…

didnt have to do anything special with the server though

This is a very good site that has multiple phone options.
