Getting rid of bad data

Hi All

Any ideas on how I can get rid of some erroneous bit of data, i.e. flattening the history. I’ve tried deleting the various history files .txt’s to no avail. I’ve still got 8mm Rainfall when there has been no rain and a ust of 37 mph in calm conditions.

Using WS2300, Weather Display ver 10.17 Z and WDL

I’ve had some experience here since I initially put my rain gauge up on the pole and the wind caused it to report rain that wasn’t there…

Open WD

Go to Setup

Go to Barometer Setup Other Setup Rain Setup (Mountain and cloud)

If it affects all your totals… go to “Adjust all rainfall totals by this amount”

Enter -8.3 in the box (be sure to uncheck “inches”)

Hit “Set” right next to the box.

Click “yes” to save changes.

That should adjust your daily/monthly/yearly totals all at once.

BUT…

It looks like this isn’t 8.3mm of today’s rain… so you may want to adjust “Month Total” and “Year Total” individually instead with same above procedure.

(Always backup your data before starting 8O )

That’s wonderful thanks.

It’s all sorted now - next time I move the rain guage I’ll dosconnect it first!

Very good point. I learned that the hard way myself!
