I really enjoy all the features of the WD, and would register straight away, but it will not update my graphs when the computer is switched off or WD is not running.I cannot believe that for purchasing the software you are reliant on having to keep your computer on all the time, if so then that could be a potential update.I seem to get the same message saying’history interval changed’ even though all clocks on Computer, WS2300 and WD match.Like I say I think it’s a cracking piece of software but I need those graphs updated when I use it, any thoughts??

Forgive me for jumping in here but is this a wind up? There is no program on earth which can update stuff when the computer is off or the software not running. I think you have some basic misunderstandings about computers and software here! #-o
If however you mean that it will not update your graphs when you restart your computer after it has been off for a while, then I believe you have a setup problem. I have to turn my computer off over night but when it starts up in the morning it loads all the data saved from overnight and shows me the full graphs without any gaps. I do have an issue that it does not update the database with the missing data but that is something different.
I assume the WS2300 has a data logger either built in or you have bought an optional data logger for the system? If so, then I would guess that the problem might not be down to the clocks being different…just the frequency of adding data to the data logger. The message suggests that it’s the ‘interval’ rather than the clocks not agreeing.
I’m not an expert on data loggers (I don’t have one myself…other than the PC that runs 24*7), but the problem might be…

You’ve set the data logger frequency to record data at too fast a rate and the logger memory is filling up overnight. In this case when you try to read data from the logger in the morning some of it has been overwritten. In this case, you can hopefully adjust the frequency. If not, then you’ll have to leave your PC on for longer.

WD doesn’t support the WS2300 data logger. The logger will return the data and time that the log record was written, but WD is expecting to see the current date and time for the records. This is something that Brian would have to address in WD.

WD is expecting to see data records every, say, 3 minutes, but the logger is returning them with a different time gap between records. This might be down to the logging frequency chosen, or WD may be assuming a fixed gap when the logger can provide data at different rates. This may be something that you can fix, or that Brian can change in WD>
Unfortunately you have bought a weather station with a very poorly designed interface that is very difficult for any software developer to work with. Brian has done his best, and has performed near miracles getting WD to work with Lacrosse stations, but ultimately the station itself limits what he is able to do.
Hi
make sure you have a recent version of WD
then go to setup, control panel, data logger setup, and turn the switch ON there
then WD should gather the missing data from the ws2300 data logger…
also, though, make sure the console’s time and date are correct (you say it is, good) and set the data pad out in WD to what the data logger is set to…the ws2300 only stores 175 data records (actualy I can only find 125 meaninfull ones), so at 1 minute history, that only 125 minutes. A davis VP has around 2 days at 1 minute interval, by comparison.
