German-Language - is there a file with the translated words?

Hello Brian

Please can you tell me - how do you (or anybody else) do the translation in german? Is there maybe a “ini”-file where the german words are written in - or something else?

If so and when possible - please tell me - I would love to correct some things which are wrong translated - and causes some problems - especially for some very very new users like me which are using Weather-Display just some days/weeks.

Thx!

Stephan

try:
setup, language setup, use language.ini file
then create for first time
then find the language.ini file, where wd is installed, and set new words to use after the = for the ones/things to change
and then set to load the language.ini file in the language setup sub menu, and then also set to auto load at start up
should do the trick

there are some web images that I still need to be able to be updated via this method
let me know the next most important one maybe

Hello Brian

Thank you for the help - ok - I got the language.ini file. Now I have to find some time to translate the words in German.

When I have done that and it looks ok - I will send you the language.ini file.

Thx again for the advice!

Stephan

Hello Stephan, maybe you can ask fellow German WD-users for their language.ini? Why inventing the wheel twice

To Brian:
You asked for something important to translate (via language.ini)?
What about the direction names: n, s, e, w, nnw, sse, etc.
I’m sure that would be appreciated by others as well !?

Tia, Peter

i did do some conversion …the main screen direction names should be converted OK if you set to use german language in the language setup…yes?
but yeah there are others

Hello Peter

Of course you are right with your suggestion - Thx!

To Brian

Yes - there are some things I think which should be translated in the setup menus - and some things should be corrected (the translation).

That would be great. Thx.

Stephan
