11004 is a Winsock error. It means that the DNS server didn’t return an IP address for the requested domain name. I doubt that it’s a Weather Display problem. If it’s an intermittent problem it might be your Internet connection. If it’s permanent then check that you’ve entered the FTP address of the server correctly.
I am updating my website via dial up whilst I am waiting for broadband to be installed. I get the same DNS error message each morning.
Recently the FTP upload runs OK for a few days then suddenly causes WD to shut down. There is no clues in the FTP log and nothing in the error log. I have the average/extremems update set at just after 9.00 and it appears to crash after this as the next scheduled update to my web site should occur at 9.15 but doesnt as WD has crashed.
This intermittent crashing after averages/extremes update has now happened twice in a week.
hi
back now
try setting the time of the upload for the averages/extreme to a bit later maybe…i.e it nees to occur later than the time those files are created
(Note, wd actualy adds 4 minutes to the time set for these av/extreme upload times in the upload times setup page)
??
