FTP Setup Info please

Hi Windy.

I am trying to make a web page for my weather display. I expected this to be easy. Heres what i done. Using WD ver 10.18q

Setup - Control panel - FTP/internetsetup - connections
I have permanent connection selected
i have input my ftp host - username and password
use WD own ftp selected
redials =2
Hit cancel and min con box selected
timeout=5mins
use passive mode selected (other stuff i’m ok with)
selected Main Internet Switch = ON

Nothing seems to be uploading to my web page. Only if i manually do this using (Flash FXP)
I have looked in General FTP Functions - all seems ok there uploading every 30 mins and selected ON (green switch)

On the Web Files Page Setup
filename i use is index
Web files location is c:\wdisplay\webfiles
Other stuff selected and then Update html file - View as web page and not found. But when i look in directory its there, manually select it and it runs.

Real Time clientraw Setup
Enable data uploading selected
uploading data every 5 mins using clientraw.txt

Other realtime settings:
Use FTP seetings selected
FTP server usernam and password all ok (i imported setting)

Sorry so long. But can’t understand why not working. Any ideas please?

Thanks
Tony

hi
you should not be using the general ftp setup
best thing is to get me your settings files
i.e go
action, back up registry entry
then email me the files wdisplay.ini and wdisplayftp.reg from the folder databackup

Thanks Brian email sent please note *** HAS ATTACHMENT *** scannen in Norton 2005 ok.
Cheers

hi
i am thinking its a problem with the web page being called index.html
and the fact you have no remote directory set, and then wd thinks that there was an error with the CWD command, and so will not upload the file index.html
copy and paste here the contents under view, ftp log, view full log after a ftp upload
