I dont believe they are K, but are bytes, 123K and 42,542K (or more usefully, 42M)

Rained again today, Ultimeter says 2.79mm, WD shows 0.1mm today.

Heres the odd thing. I know that the 0.01 inch setting was ticked, and I’ve just looked now and its unticked. So I ticked it, and then closed (using exit menu), and restarted, and its unticked again. Also the long message seems to self-tick itself. So it seems that some settings are not sticking.

ok, i see the error with the rain type…I have fixed for the next version

now, the rain data in complete record mode is stored in 25 to 28 data positions

if you create a file called ws2000on.txt
where WD is installed, i.e using notepad.exe (i.e save a file with notepad called ws2000on (and then notepad will add the .txt extension

then after 1 minute, wd will then log, under view, ws2010/ws2500 data information, all the rain datapoints and how wd calculates the rain…and then we can see whats happening
(i.e tip the rain gauge to create rain)
but, also, it might be that you need to tick, i have metric rain, and or, 10* rain amount

but that rain decode data to the ws2010 data window will tell else lots of information

if you could do that (and add a few rain tips), then I can see whats up (before 10am tuesday amybe???)

Sometime during this period of time, the rainfall on the ultimeter went from .51mm to .76mm, which is one 0.01in tick of the guage. On screen, we still have rainfall as 0.0

In setup, ticked is long data length (it always turns itself on, I tick it off), I have rain guage, I have metric rain, 0.01in rain gauge, use complete record mode, use max gust from this data.

well, the rain increase is in the data…so thats a good start (i.e 0 0 0 2 becomes 0 0 0 3
but wd did not pick it up
i will investigate

so untick that

also, i have made a tweak in the way the debug data is presented in 10.17t, uploading now

Unticked metric rain, upgraded WD, looks much better. Ultimeter gone from 5.33 to 7.37 since upgrading the s/w, WD reports 2.2mm rain today.
