I’m not really sure what is going on here, but I’ve seen it now twice in the same day.
This morning, I noticed that the weather data was out of date on the website by about an hour. When I looked at the Client Raw FTP, it was saying the same thing.
[code:1]Connecting to FTP server.
Connected.
Disconnected.
301: Interrupted.[/code:1]
I then looked at the ftp log for WD and found similar messages…
Even my local FTP program on the box was seeing the same thing.
So I sent a note to the provider who an hour later reported that everything was working fine and they didn’t see a problem. I checked and everything was back in order.
Now tonight… Same thing. More than an hour has past and all attempts to connect are being listed as disconnected. I tried ftp from the cmd of the box (WinXP) and it does the same thing.
I go to my Remote server and try it … and it works fine. I tried it from my local Unix server (looks the same to the outside as my WinXP boxes IP) and it can get there no problem.
The problem is something on the WinXP box running WD.
Twice in one day is a bit wierd and I’ve never had this problem before.
I’m not sure how or what WD uses to actually ftp out, but the only change to the system today was an update to 10.7x. but that was after the first problem this morning. I was running 10.7w overnight last night.
I don’t know if it has anything to do with it… just reporting the problem.
