the data does extract, but when it starts up, rather than start from the last date, it goes back to June 21, right now. Any clues?
which verison of weather display
and, when was the last time you were running it
and, when you do run it, and you then leaving it running, or just firing it up, seeing there is a problem, and then using something else
(i.e the time/date stored to extra data from at start up is set after a few minute of normal running, in the wdisplay.ini file (which is stored in either c:\windows or c:\winnt)…you can check that time/date…its under [Davis download]
The right questions.
No, I am keeping it running. all the time The only time I exit and save is if something has locked, up . generally my email.(having a conflict between zonealarm and out look, but I am winning).
I downloaded the version on the download page . it says version w, but I am sure it should be version v.
Would having the override on some files affect the whole thing?
The wdisplay.ini.
I see there are two there… One wdisplay.ini which is the current date creation and one wdisplay3.ini which is an october 2003 date. Now I have wdisplay in a folder wdisplay3 . I recall in the beginning I had problems with a corrupt directory and eventually ended with wdisplay3 for the current version.
anyway the downloa dfile
[Davis download]
hour=23
minute=44
day=8
month=7
year=2004
clear data=no
[Reset times]
option=midnight
have a clue here. I had pad out data checked. I am going to uncheck that and see what happens.
that will help.,…
you dont want that ticked in the misc settings if you have a data logger,
also, make sure the date/time on the VP console is correct
thanks
will do . perhaps you should put or not put in your help manual.
'Not for the wimpy, non adventurous , weather types."
Or " more check boxes than the 2000 Florida Election Ballot"
Well, What I did was move the wdisplay3.ini to my document folder for safe keeping. the wdisplay.ini does reference the wdisplay3 directory, and was the current one anyway.
I will turn off the things that shouldn’t be on. untick the pad data out. Actually - I noticed it with your new page for that informatin. the thing that said not to tick it if I had a datalogger was a great help.
The station type selection is much easier.
So, what are you going to do when you finally finish with this project? World peace?
Take care, my friend.
