I did a search of this section of the forum and couldn’t find this particular subject, so … When I checked my WDL live page at around 7 this morning, it was fine. I just checked few minutes ago and am not receiving the subject error message. My WX PC & WD must still running since my CWOP data is still being updated (correctly). WDL 3.07.
interesting … the clientraw.txt file isn’t there!? does that mean the separate realtime upload tool (don’t recall what it was called down there in the systray) may have died?
okay. will have to wait until i get home in 4-5 hours. seeing how as my CWOP data is being updated (with changing data), i take it that the clientraw.txt ftp process is a different process than the APRS submission?
hi
yes, the clientraw.txt is uploaded with a separate program, called clientrawrealtimeftp.exe
that should start up, by wd, if you have that set to , in the webfiles/web page/real time ftp …
the clientrealtimeftp window was full of messages about connection resets and stuff like that. was getting dark and i wanted to get the driveway cleared, so i just stopped & restarted WD and everything is ok. is there a way to reset & restart the clientrealtime thingy w/o recycling the whole WD instance?
The past few days my ClientRealTimeFTP.exe has been having problems. It doesn’t crash or anything, but it seems to suddenly have problems connecting to my FTP site. I’m at the office right now and don’t have the full text of the messages, but basically the display is full of the following lines when I get home:
And then it all starts again. I can post the exact text tonight when I get home, but I was hoping that this would look familiar to someone and perhaps you could tell me what I need to do in order to keep this working.
Note that while this tool is having problems, my CWOP & Weather Underground data feeds are still working.
hi
those errors can result from slow servers/slow internet, etc etc
you could try ticking, restart instead of relogin, and also shorten your login interval…
