Entering Snow Totals

We had our first snowfall of the year with 2.1" yesterday and 1.8" over night. I went to enter the 2.1" for yesterday (11/12/04) and it appears as if I can only manually enter current day. I have two questions; first, how do I enter the 1.8" for the previous day, and secondly, can I enter historical daily snowfall totals? Thanks in advance.

Paul

Hi Paul, I have the same question. I was wondering if you ever got a reply to this?

I want to start my snow season on December 1st and enter daily data from then.

Cheers, Arnie

hi
you can edit the logfile directly, where the daily snow total is stored…
i.e
12005lg2.txt
note, its in cm, there , the daily snow total (last column)
( do not enter any units either)

How does it kow what day the even occured?

Thanks,

You have to have 1 record for each day in the log file (even if there was zero snowfall).

so, considering today is the 22nd, does that mean i need 22 lines of data in there? or what? I actually didn’t start using WD until late in the 1st week of the year or so, and did a reinstall this week, so there’s only 5 lines in there now … I’m confused as to how to address the snow prior to my starting to use WD.

Thanks,

yes, you need 22 lines for this month. You might just enter zeros for the days prior to when you started to use WD. I went back and entered snowfall values for each day in December (122004lg2.txt) even though I didn’t start using WD until late December.

Daily High and Low temp values are also stored in this file.
