Ecowitt stopped ** Solved **

Our website has stopped updating we use the Ecowiit local upload file.
Have had a look and can’t work out what has gone wrong ever thing is the same as it has been for the last few years

Did you do something to fix it? It looks like you’ve got up to date data being displayed now.

No its ruunning on the WD ApI at the moment

I am confused about this.
There is no trace of valid Ecowitt Custom Upload in the /pwsWD/ecowitt/ folder

The encrypted passkey “ecco_key.arr” → " Age 10 hours 22 minutes 48 seconds "
So the first valid upload is from10 hours ago.

The latest valid data ecco_lcl.arr → “Age 13 hours 19 minutes 5 seconds”
But the contents is from " [dateutc] => 2023-02-03 06:35:10"

The logfile “ecco_stats.txt” contains less than 30 error messages from August 19 → 20 . That is far less as expected for a 5 minute upload from the Ecowitt device.

Mon, 19 Aug 2024 19:28:03 +0000 = Ecowitt data received:
 Problem-77: NO PASSKEY found.
Problem-101: Item in upload: with value between next brackets =><= is invalid
 Problem-109: Invalid data:
    [sc_is_visitor_unique] => rx10042497.1724095659.72B4A45B2DBA4F1615F969DE94CB2046.3.3.3.3.3.3.3.3.3

What has changed:

  1. Did you switch from http to https on your website?
  2. Did you replace the ecowitt “upload” device fro a new one?
  3. Did you switch from website hosting provider?
  4. Did you install new firmware on your ecowitt device?
  5. Did you install a “gate” function on your webserver to block bots a.s.o.
  6. Did you install automatic cookie setting" sc_is_visitor_unique

more info
Please make a screenshot of the ecowitt WSVIEW plus “custom upload” setup.

If possible, please post or mail the contents of .htaccess in your website root.
There has to ber something to allow the ecowitt device to bypass the http-> htpps conversion

Example of WSVIEW plus screenshot

When I first looked at this yesterday the status popup showed _livedata or _livedata_time aged over 300 days. I wish I had taken a screenshot. . .

Bypass http to https for the ecowitt folder is working correct

All data seems to be arriving correctly.

Wim
