Thanks Chris, i relaised sommat was up the other day when my media (tv) changed its ip even though i had set it as a static, that will be the reason why, i will sort that out, i have around 62 devices in total, its the ones like the cameras, Ring doorbell Pro, media server GW1100 that i dont want changing if i need to reboot the router, its a pain having to change them again…
You could try that. It wouldn’t make it any worse, but with your current config you could potentially get the GW1100 address issued by DHCP to another device which would cause problems.
Sounds like you could split the address space giving 100 dynamic addresses and 100 reserved for static addresses.
Yes you are absolutely right, it can be much better for GW1100 not to be part of the group of IP addresses and risk being taken over by someone else.
Many thanks!
Regards Jan
I have switched to the Ecowitt API and notice a much more stable data collection. My GW1100 has not gone off line during this period either. The advantage is also that I get an email alarm from Ecowitt if the data is not updated in 10 min.
A side effect is unfortunately that my 3 extra sensors are no longer visible on my website. The tags %extratemp1%, %generalextratemp1% or %generalextrahum1% no longer contain current data. I have tried to go back to the GW1100 and, then there is current data from these sensors.
On my page with data from Ecowitt (Ecowitt Weather) all sensors are included and all are updated regularly.
I can not find any other tags either. Is there a solution to this?
Best regards Jan.
